This is Not Art aims to approach arts in a non-conventional way.
Art is made by creative people. Technology is inviting and intimidating. Ideas are still important.

At This is Not Art we think that art shouldn’t only be experienced at museums and galleries. It’s part of our lives as food and drinks. We need it in order to enjoy our lives as human beings.
That’s why we need to be inspired and  meet artists, read their stories, approaches and experiences.
People & artists are interconnected worlds, but sometimes extremely difficult to share.

The project started in 2010 when we were living in Italy: we were surrounded by amazing people being artists in their spare time, and we thought: why not giving them the chance of being in touch with their audience?
We organised our art events, showcasing their work, promoting interactions and multiple approaches. Check out our past events here.

After moving to London, we thought: why not telling stories by artists from all around Europe? Every culture is different and artists have different background and points of view. Underground artists need a network: let’s build it!

Questa Non È Arte nasce per dare un approccio non-convenzionale all’arte
L’arte si basa sulla creatività delle persone. La tecnologia invita ma intimidisce allo stesso modo. Le idee sono ancora importanti.

Noi di Questa Non È Arte pensiamo che l’arte non debba essere rinchiusa in soli musei e gallerie. È parte delle nostre vite come l’avere fame e l’avere sete.  Ne abbiamo bisogno per gioire della vita.
Ecco perchè abbiamo bisogno di essere ispirati e di conoscere gli artisti, leggere le loro storie, approcci ed esperienze.
Le persone e gli artisti sono mondi interconnessi, ma a volte difficili da condividere.

Il progetto nasce nel in 2010 quando in Italia eravamo circondati da artisti fantastici che tuttavia non potevano dedicare tutto il loro tempo all’arte, per il fatto che il network professionale ed ufficiale è spesso chiuso e difficilmente raggiungibile. Quindi, abbiamo pensato: perché non dare loro la possibilità di entrare in contatto con la loro audience con eventi ad hoc?
Abbiamo quindi organizzato i nostri eventi, basati sulle interazioni e sullo scambio di punti di vista grazie alle interazioni e all’utilizzo di approcci multidisciplinari.

Ora che siamo a Londra, abbiamo pensato: perchè non raccontare le storie, le esperienze e i punti di vista degli artisti europei? Abbiamo infatti imparato che ogni cultura è diversa, così’ come lo sono le esperienze ed i punti di vista.
Abbiamo pensato di costruire una rete europea per l’arte underground!
